让我们再看另一首chant“Where's Jack”（摘自Jazz Chants for Children，1986）。这首chant介绍了两组压韵词（know和go；here there和chair），特殊疑问句的结构（Where's Jack? Where did he go?）及其肯定与否定回答，还有两种时态（一般现在时和过去时）的对比。这首 chant 特别适合两人结对的问答和角色扮演的情景语言练习。

三、China Chants
上海外语教育出版社2004年出版的《我爱学英语 第1册（China Chants I）》是 Graham和唐力行两位教授合作，专为中国青少年英语学习者而编写的。这本教材包括了40首适合小学和初中学生的chant和歌曲。和其他Jazz Chants一样，该书中的 chant 自然并有节奏感，有趣味而又有意义。此外该书还针对中国学生经常碰到的语音方面的困难作为重点，让学生们练习美国英语的发音、重音、语调。以下这首“Sky Chant”就是帮助中国学生区别几个特别容易混淆的发音：light night right。同时它还训练了一些同韵词的发音：gray/today；light/night/right/tonight 等。

China Chants还重点训练了大量在听力、发音方面中国学生比较容易混淆的单词(如 learn/turn/dirt; cow/how/bow; oil/boil/spoil; shot/short/shout等等)。对英语口语常用的弱读形式、连读、重音、节奏、语调等方面提供了大量的听说实例和练习。此外，China Chants还介绍了主要的英语句子结构和时态，并收集了许多习惯用法、国籍、人名，以及语言功能。
